On Friday, 17th October, we held an Open Day.
This time, we present the Open Day proceedings accompanied by photographs.
【Schedule for the Day】
10:30–12:15 Classroom visits (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3)
12:15–12:45 Interaction with students in the café

Class 1. We are studying intermediate-level kanji and vocabulary. We prepare at home before attending the lesson.

Class 2: Comprehensive Japanese. On this day, we began the lesson with self-introductions.

Together with local people, we made origami cranes and balloons. In Nepal, they apparently fold origami boats. Some students folded boats to give as gifts to visitors. The origami creations are displayed at the back of the classroom.

Class 3 is having a kanji lesson. Today, they reviewed the kanji they have learnt so far. Everyone is concentrating hard on their work.

The corridor during class time. Many people have arrived.

During break time, we exchanged greetings in the corridor and had a brief chat.

The students’ self-introductions have been displayed in the hall. They have written about their country, family, hobbies, and future dreams.
Additionally, on the day, members of the local community ate the same menu as the students’ school lunch at the café on the first floor of the building. The menu for that day, by the way, was chicken curry with bone-in chicken.
A great many people attended this open day.
Everyone offered the students warm words of encouragement, and for the students themselves, it proved an excellent opportunity to converse with many members of the local community.
We shall continue to hold events enabling people to learn more about the school, so please do join us.
